LINEAR PROGRESSION (LEVELS)/LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Level 1
Visible map is a horizontal Number Line.
Meet Group 5. (Missions involve 7th grade social studies standards).
Begin to reveal meta story and missions
Slowly reveal the context to the player.
Inhabitant call the holes in which they live "points".
Learn to navigate by being given an X coordinate of each point
Learn that this group is not the only group that lives in this world
Learn that the only way out of the world is to find the exit hole.
    Vertical Number Line revealed.
Now directions are given as "Go to point 5 on the x axis".

Level 2
    Quadrant 1 is revealed.
Meet group 1. (Missions involve 7th grade math standards).
Learn to navigate by being given an "ordered pair" for the location of each hole, or "point".
Learn that the holes actually go forever and never end. Nobody lives there anymore though.

Level 3
Negative portion of X axis is revealed.
    Learn integer operations.

Level 4
    Quadrant 2 is revealed.
Meet Group 2. (Missions involve 7th grade art/music standards)
Missions involve 7th grade science standards

Level 5
Negative portion of Y axis is revealed.
    More Practice with integer operations.

Level 6
    Entire Coordinate Plane is revealed.
Meet groups 3 and 4. (Missions involve 7th grade science and language arts standards)

Level 7
(optional) Map is 3D (Each hole brings you to lower level)
Learn to navigate using (x, y, z) for each "point".
